About

Hello, I am a visual artist from the East Midlands currently based in Leeds, West Yorkshire (UK).

My work is about perception, vulnerability and mystery.
Currently, I am creating pieces with hand-embroidery on reclaimed, dyed and painted fabrics. Like collage, the materials are gradually assembled in panels which compartmentalise different moods and ideas or to suggest impermanence as though the work could be undone or rearranged. There are plant motifs and symbolic forms from nature's sublime, inspired by my interest in Weird fiction literature.
I also create functional boxes as sculptural containers to hold meaning and personal histories. These art objects have both an outside image and an internal existence, comparable to how we view ourselves and others.
